Call for Proposals 2024

34th IAPCT conference 14-16 november, Perth, Australia + online

Deadline for abstract submission: Friday 31st of May, 2024

The IAPCT Board welcomes your proposal for a presentation or for a symposium panel discussion.

We are particularly interested in receiving presentations on research findings, but we also encourage presentations of new ideas, work in progress, lived experience relating to PCT, and accessible introductions to PCT. All disciplines across science, engineering, the arts, and humanities are encouraged, but all submissions must have direct relevance to PCT.

Our last three annual conferences have been successful online, using Zoom. This will be our first in-person conference since 2019 in Manchester! We anticipate strong representation by students at Curtin University. Aside from being the academic home of our own Warren Mansell, Curtin is an important research university, and the largest university in Australia, with a campus population equivalent to a mid-size city. The season will be equivalent to mid-May in the Northern Hemisphere.

Ways to participate

We are an international organization. Not all of us can travel to Perth, and we live in many time zones. To be as inclusive as possible.

  • All presentations must be video-recorded as a PowerPoint slideshow with audio and/or video. The deadline for uploading them will be 6th November 2024. Every video presentation will be available online to delegates from Monday 11th November.
  • Talks will be live-streamed between 14th & 15th November at a time convenient for Europe; and again for the Americas.

The in-person conference schedule will combine live presentations (expanding on the video-recorded presentations), discussion of the talks and key topics, and interactive workshops.

The deadline for proposal submission is 31 May 2024.
