IAPCT conference 2026

36th IAPCT Conference – York, UK | October 7-10, 2026

+ MOL practitioners meeting, October 12+13, near Manchester (tbc).

We’re excited to announce that the 36th IAPCT Conference and Annual Meeting will take place near the historic city of York, UK, from October 7–10, 2026.

Program

  • Tuesday 6th of October – welcome to arrive at Parsonage Hotel in the evening
  • Wednesday 7th of October – start of the conference in the morning (hybrid, online & in-person)
  • Thursday 8th of October – second day of the conference, full day (hybrid, online & in-person)
  • Friday 9th of October – Third day of the conference, full day (hybrid, online & in-person)
  • Saturday 10th of October – Social outing, dinner in York city

Thanks to a generous contribution by one of our members, we are able to organize a shared venue where participants can both stay and attend the conference together — creating a truly immersive PCT experience. Come for the sessions, stay for the conversations that continue over dinner.

Accommodation at the Parsonage Hotel

The conference is hosted at the Parsonage Hotel in York, offering a fully residential experience for participants. Staying on-site means breakfast, lunches, breaks, and evening meals are all included — making it easy to focus on the conference and connect with fellow participants.

Residential package (4 nights, Tuesday–Saturday or Wednesday-Sunday): £300

This subsidised rate covers 4 nights accommodation, all meals during the conference days (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday), and full use of the conference facilities and the hotel spa. The subsidy is available for up to 30 participants on a first-come, first-served basis, with preference for presenters. A 5th night (Tuesday or Saturday) can be added at about £160, at personal cost. Partners are welcome to stay in-room for an additional £40 per night, which includes breakfast and spa access.

Saturday dinner is not included in the conference package— we’ll be heading into York together that evening. Prices may vary (until booking is confirmed). Reserve your spot for the residential package here, and we’ll be in contact. Please reserve before June 5th, so we can secure accomodation for our group. After registration, you will be able to see who else registered.

Day guests will pay £50 per day, covering lunch and the conference, or £70 including dinner.

Attending online will be free, as usual.

Getting there

The conference venue is the Parsonage Hotel, 20 minutes from York (there’s a bus connection as well). As always, the conference will be hybrid, with online access available for our global community. That said, we especially encourage you to join us in person — the interactive sessions, workshops, and informal exchanges are where the real magic happens. And we haven’t got the same technically advanced setup as last year. York is well connected by train from London and other UK cities. The nearest airports are Leeds Bradford, Manchester, and London airports.

MOL Practitioners Meeting Following the conference, a small MOL practitioners meeting will be organized near Manchester on October 12–13. For more information, contact Eva de Hullu, Matías Salgado, or Laura Hudepohl. This meeting will not be included in the conference package, and stays in the area need to be arranged separately.

Hybrid format The conference will include in-person sessions, interactive online programming for global participation, live streaming of face-to-face sessions, and recorded sessions shared with online participants afterward. Online participation is free, as in previous years.

We’re also looking for help shaping this conference. If you’re interested in designing the conference artwork, joining the scientific committee (helping select and organize the program), or contributing to the interactive and social program — we’d love to hear from you.
